Your EDI files

The app opens, checks and edits your files on your own computer. Your EDI files are never uploaded to us.

On this website

Our own visit counter records pages viewed, time on page, scroll depth, and clicks on download, buy and outbound links, with rough location (country, region and city) and your browser and device type. It uses a random id stored in your browser, not a cookie, and not your IP address. Visit records (page, city, device; no IP) are deleted after 25 months.
Google Analytics counts visits and how you arrived. It sets cookies. Opt out with Google’s browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
A Reddit advertising pixel tells Reddit when a visit came from one of our ads and whether it led to a download or a purchase.
The question box under the download (when you choose to answer it): we keep your answer, the page and your computer type (Mac or Windows). Email is optional. If you leave it, we use it only to answer you, never for marketing, and delete it 12 months after you send it, or sooner if you ask. We don’t keep your IP address with your answer.

Trial and licence

To start a trial you give an email address. We send your code to it and use it to tie the trial to you. We also keep an id for the computer the trial runs on, so a trial can’t be restarted over and over.
When you buy, Stripe handles the payment. We never see your card number. Stripe tells us your email and which plan you bought, so we can send your licence and keep it working.
The app checks your licence when it starts. That check tells us the app was opened, on which computer type, and roughly where.
We keep the record that your email started a trial, and your licence record, until you ask us to delete them, so a trial can’t be restarted and a licence keeps working. The computer id tied to a trial is deleted after 90 days. Payment records are kept as long as tax rules require.

Who helps us run this

Cloudflare (runs our licence and visit-counter servers), HostGator (hosts this website), Stripe (payments), Resend (sends the code and licence emails, and passes question-box answers with an email on to us), Google (Analytics), Reddit (advertising pixel), GitHub (hosts the download files).

What we don’t do

We don’t sell your information. We don’t send newsletters. We share it only with the services above, to do the job described, or if the law requires.

Your choices

Write to urojas@lakeforestdigital.com to see, correct or delete what we hold about you. No form, no fee. If you delete your trial or licence record, the app stops working on that licence.

Children

This site and app are for businesses and aren’t aimed at children under 13.

When this page changes, the date at the top changes.
